I'm on leave since last mid week and will be going back to work next Monday :) My break is going gone too fast and I'm already at 3/5 of my break! *moans*
The past few days have been eventful - not!
Fell down on 23rd and sprained my right ankle. It is still swollen and bruised and I've been limping ever since.. Mr Porky tried to rub the swollen part for me and it was so painful that I screamed and teared. Heehee, weak rite...
(Thanks Lorraine for the crutches on Facebook, asking me to go back to office with it despite my leave. Hey babe, stop dreaming! I'm free from the animals until next week! :P)
Went to an old friend's grandma place for BBQ on Xmas eve. The food was good! But the night was disappointing after that. We initially planned to go bowling and KTV after the food but due to some *urgh* reasons, we simply spent the night at the void deck and talked about nothingness... I've known this group of friends since Sec 1 (including Mr Porky) & I really treasure this friendship. We have arranged to meet again on the 31st with more people and I really hope it'll be more fun. :)
Watched 2 movies these few days - National Treasure 2 & I am Legend.
National Treasure 2
Nicholas Cage has really really aged. His hairline can let him act as those period drama's emperor or eunuch and he doesn't have to shave the front part of his hair at all.. The show's quite good but not as good as the first.
I am Legend
is a horror movie! :P
It is full of suspense and Will Smith's acting is excellent. I like the show but I think the plot can be elaborated more..
I have lots of pictures to post but I'm procrastinating.
I'm THE procrastinator :)
PS: Shukkie, I'll email you the photos when I'm done procrastinating. :P

Blink Blink
Tada!
I went for eye lash perming with Woman 5.0 today at Bishan under the recommendation of meanie :) Woman 5.0 did eyelash extension while I did eyelash perming.. (Don't dare do extension cos scared it'll be too heavy)
It was a queer experience, cos you don't really know what the lady is doing to your eyes. So I can only imagine what was happening in my head and of course clarify with the "auntie" who was doing the deed.
I opted for the more dramatic "rod" method instead of the supposedly more natural and newer "nano" method. I think the end effect is not THAT dramatic so I guess it was a good choice. If I opted for the more natural "nano" curl, I would probably be not as pleased.. :P
In layman terms, what she did was to "glue my eyes", put a "rod" above my lashes, push the lashes one by one up and stick against the rod, apply some special lotion (which was quite stinging), cover the eyes with cloth, press it lightly and wait for what I think was around 15 minutes, check the lashes and add another special lotion to "set" it, cover and wait for another 10 minutes and we're done!
It was a cool experience and I guess I'll be doing it again in the future... :P

Yet Another Story of my Cab Encounter
If there's one Facebook Superlative that I should be nominated for, it should definitely be "Most Likely to Meet Weird Cab Drivers".. I have had countless encounters of the most bizzare cab drivers anyone can get and I'm gonna relate one more again...
Last week I had to run an event on Thursday so I was entitled to claim cab on 7pm the day before. So I stayed in the office till 7pm and called for a cab at 7pm sharp. I was told the cab would reach in 7-9 minutes, so I went downstairs with Noormie to wait for its arrival....
Waited.........
Waited..............
Waited......................
When it finally arrived, it was already 7.19pm (I checked the boarding time on the receipt after that).
The cab driver was extremely apologetic, saying he didn't expect it to take that long to get from Chinatown area to Shenton Way as it was jammed. I didn't get angry, as I could see that he was truly sorry for making me wait that long.
So this marks the beginning of another remarkable taxi ride.
Me: Uncle, Yishun Ave Three
Uncle: Huh, Yishun Ave What??
Me: Three
Uncle: Huh, Ave WHat??
Me: Three, Three... San!
Uncle: Orh~~~~ San... okok!
So he drove to the Chinatown area like all the other cabs would so that they can enter the tunnel and exit to CTE.. While in that area, it was quite jammed again so we were stuck there for long..
Uncle (in a mix of Singlish & Chinese): Just now ah, I took your call, then here jam until siao ah... Thats why I was so late. So many cars here dunch know why.. Super super jam ah... so many traffic lights.. (blahblahblahblahblah... and he repeated that same content for 5 times)
Finally, we managed to get through the jam and reached the tunnel area.. Surprisingly, uncle did not turn into the tunnel, which got me blurred
Me: Uncle, which way are you going by?
Uncle: Orh... in front (blahblah turn here turn there), den exit by Stevens Road and blahblah very fast one..
Thinking that he should know his way well, I didn't probe much.. and as we drive on, I saw Grand Copthorne and that means I was in Havelock road already. I was thinking this shouldn't be faster then the usual CTE which is a straight road all the way to Yishun..
Me: Uncle, how come we are here?
Uncle: Oh, you never drive by this way before ma? Many people like to use this way one leh!
Me: No leh, never before...
Uncle: Then which way do you go usually?
Me: CTE loh, although got jam but still vey fast one
Uncle: HUH! CTE?!? That's very far what.. Then after CTE which way you go?
Me: Huh.. after CTE reach liao ma
Uncle: Eh! You going WOODLANDS right??
Me: *exasperated already* Uncle! I told you Yishun leh!!
Uncle: Huh, I always thought it's Woodlands leh! That's why I go this way ma.. Aiyah, Sorry sorry! Just now that jam at Chinatown jam until i blur liao loh!!! Aiyah Sorry sorry, how come I make this kind of mistake.. 1st time leh! *starts beating his head*
Me:...........................................
Uncle: Aiyah, sorry sorry leh, in the end make you reach home even later..
*looks at the clock* (it's already around 7.40+pm...)
Me: So uncle, now can still go back Yishun way anot
Uncle: Can can... heng we discovered earlier... if not I really drive you to Woodlands liao...
So in the end........ I reach home passed 8pm.
I might have been faster if I took the train.

Free Rice
We can now do our little part to help end world hunger even while having fun and improving our vocab! For each word you get right, they will donate 10 grains of rice through the United Nations. 10 grains might not sound like a lot... but hey, every grain counts! Furthermore, it's quite fun! Do check it out peeps! :)

Very Blessed with Love
Had my 25th birthday last Tuesday. :) It is great to have so many fantastic friends, colleagues and family showering me with their wishes and love.
Here's a quick summary :P
Some of us from PC met up after work at Lao Pa Sat for dinner... and these lovely people secretly went to get a birthday cake for me. Everyone flashed their cameras and I felt like a SuperStar instantly. Unfortunately, I didn't bring camera that day and was looking super shag. So I shall not post pictures of that. Wahaha!
Went to Waraku with Mr Porky on the Deepavali holiday to celebrate. See how act cute we are. hohoho...
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... delicious la!!
After Waraku.. we went to Tiffany & Co to get my long awaited stuff.. I went there with the idea to get a necklace... but after trying the necklace and charm bracelet, I fell in love with the charm bracelet and the locket charm. In the end, I decided to get the bracelet and an additional locket charm, so I can use the charm as a necklace pendant anytime. Thus effectively, I've gotten myself both a necklace and a bracelet :P (psssssssssst.... and I went to Perlini's to get myself a silver chain necklace after that at $9! heehee)
Using the ang bao money I got from my family and friends, I had $400+ to subsidise my purchase, so I only paid less than $100 myself :)
Ms Keng was so thoughtful and knowing I am a very lippie person, she got me a Natural Source Lip Balm in Wild Strawberry & Honey. It smells heavenly!
Meanie Alexis brought me a teddy bear with my name written on the feet herself. Sooooooo sweet la, meanie! :P
Noormie got me a teddy bear as well!!! funny her also got me a pen in the shape of a finger, which she says, is to remind me of the nose digging tortoise :P
Mr Porky's Sister-in-Law bought me this very elegant and pretty bracelet!
... and Mr Porky's sister and her bf bought this cute small safety box which coincidentally has a special PIN code in order to open it... and they actually put some money inside for me. Such a special ang bao :)
Lastly, Takeshi Kaneshiro to end this post :P
I absolutely KNOW that he was thinking "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TISSUE LADY, I LOVE YOU" when he was taking this photo :P

A Tribute to..... Highlighters
Highlighters... are on the brink of extinction in my office. Just like how dodo is extinct from the world. Read more about why highlighters are endangered species here.
Here is my tribute to our beloved...highlighters..... :P

Sweet Mr Porky
Last Friday, after dinner with Mr Porky in Yishun, we headed home to slack as usual.. As I was changing in my room, I just happened to glance at one corner of my room, where I put my boxes.. You know, those sort of gadget boxes when you buy HPs/MP3 Players etc... And so I spotted an odd looking box which I havent seen before and I went over to take a look...
Tada!! A Canon Powershot a570 IS camera box is right there in the corner of my room! I immediately brought the box out to show Mr Porky and to laugh at him that his surprise was busted.. but Mr Porky gave a look of shock and seemed extremely bewildered with why I have the box. He even asked me why I bought it before he could get it for me as a present.. Well, obviously I didn't buy it myself, so he said it was probably my brother who bought the camera and kept the box in my room and it's just coincidence that my brother bought the same camera that we have been eyeing. Also, the box is empty so probably my brother brought it out with him already. Mr Porky even apologised for disappointing me, as I thought it was a surprise for me but it actually wasn't.
After clarifying things, I went to the washroom in my mum's bedroom. As I came out of the washroom, I saw the camera placed on my mum's bed. :)
So, the story is... Mr Porky went to the girl's house earlier in the day before dinner to keep the camera after he bought it. He took out the camera and hide it under the girl's comforter on her bed and placed the box at the forlorn corner of her room, confidently thinking that she would never ever spot it. Unfortunately, sharp-eye girl spotted the box and he had to make up stories of how he did not buy the camera. As the girl went into the toilet, Mr Porky sprinted to girl's room to take the camera from under the comforter and put it on her mum's bed.
Mr Porky should really take part in Star Search or some acting competition. His acting skills will put the champions to shame..
Über sweet Mr Porky took cute pictures of himself in the camera and pre-recorded a video of him singing the birthday song.
He even got her a birthday cake :)

Who's the Evil One?
Some people are unbelievable.... but I shall keep my bitching to just a few of us verbally.. Like what Mr Porky said - They are already being punished in one way or another for their low EQ.
So ya.. I should just stop being so "evil" to those "very kind hearted souls"
It's hard.
Grrrrrrrrr....

The Auntie Cab Driver
Somehow..... I always meet interesting cab drivers......
Last Monday, I had to be at Grand Plaza Park Hotel at City Hall by 7am for my event. As I was able to claim cab, I tried to call Comfort but couldn't get through no matter how many times I tried. So I decided to call SMRT and I got my cab almost immediately, saying it'll reach in 5 mins. Fine, so I went to the washroom first before heading down. When I was in my washroom, my telephone rang. Suspecting it was the cab driver, I rushed out, tried to answer and the person hang up. The ringing woke my mum up early in the morning 6.30am loh.. Guessing that the driver had called cos he's already downstairs, I rushed down to find no signs of it at all... (Then why call at all?)
After quite a wait, I caught sight of a SMRT cab behind my block. Naturally, cabs would drive nearer to the lift area to pick up the passengers but this one just stopped very far away from the lift lobby and I had to walk and walk to board the cab. (Slightly irritated already cos this driver woke my mum up, was late and had no initiative to drive closer)
So I boarded the cab and saw that the driver's a lady, quite young, slim and long hair. (Typically how our uncle's wife would look like, I guess)
Me: Hi, Grand Plaza Park Hotel please, it's near Funan at City Hall
Driver: Ok, which way you want to go by?
Me: I'm not sure, any way will do
Driver: (half shouting, another half reprimanding) HUH!! NOT SURE?? You never go before MEH??? CITY HALL WHERE GOT HOTELS??
Me: Ya, not sure, never take cab to that place from yishun before (urgh!!)
Driver: When you make booking, you never tell the operator where you want to go one meh?
Me: I have quick dial, so I just need to press 1 to make booking, no need to speak to operator
Driver: OH I SEE... then next time I dont take booking after 6am already. cos those booking that I take before 6 always got put which place they want to go one.
So we drove on and it started to jam....
Driver: WA SEH, so early already started to jam ah!!
Me: Ya..
Driver: Then why you don't want to take MRT??
Me: Cos I'm already late and I can claim cab fares
Driver: Then you should call earlier ma!!
Me: (%^#$%^#$%^@%)
Her driving skills were super lousy and I jerk badly everytime she brakes cos of the traffic jam..
Me: *jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....*jerks*....
Driver: You got wear the seat belt anot??
Me: ya =.= (auntie... of cos lah if not I already fly out liao)
Woman5.0 smsed me, asking if I'm reaching.. I told her I'm stuck in traffic jam and cab driver don't seem to know where the hotel is. So Woman5.0 smsed me saying it's Coleman Street...
Me: Erm, the hotel is near Funan, at Coleman Street..
Driver: I know where la!!
Me: (I thought she just told me there's no hotel in City Hall!!!........#$%$%^&)
Driver's Booking thingy started to beep and beep.. so she saw someone make a booking wanting to go Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Driver: EH!! This one got show where they want to go one leh
Me: (Ya lah, ya lah, my phone spoilt, cannot speak to operator, cannot show you where I want to go, enough!!)
Another beep...
Driver: This one also got show leh! Want to go airport! I like to drive to airport loh, can sleep and relax. Aiyoh, this jam ah... my leg want to cramp already. Tsk Tsk Tsk.. The ERP start what time huh?
ME: (gasps, is this just the 2nd day of her cab driving stint..) *jerks*....*jerks*.... I'm not sure..
Driver: The ERP too cheap already la, all these Singaporeans dont care one..
Reaches the ERP gantry
Driver: OH! ERP havent start ah! aiyah, thats why so many cars lah
Me: *faints*
About 15 minutes before we reach the hotel...the booking thingy beeped again.. this time someone wants to be picked up from Royal Plaza on the Scotts.
Driver: EH Royal Plaza!! *faster press to get the booking and she got it*.. AIYAH!! Royal plaza!! Your hotel is wat?? Grand Plaza ah?? AIYAH, press wrong la, I thought same hotel then faster snatch *HAHAHAHAHA laughs hysterically at herself*
Then her HP rang... she picked up and put it on loud speaker, so I could hear the conversation.. it was the SMRT call centre.
SMRT caller: Auntie, you going Royal Plaza right? Passenger wants to leave now.
Driver: HUH, I can only reach in 20 minutes leh!!
SMRT caller: So late? Then I cancel your booking huh?
Driver: *Laughs* okok!! *hangs up the phone and started to laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh*
Me: ~_~||||||||||||||
As we were about the reach the hotel....
Me: I think it's behind peninsula
Driver: Wat BEHIND!! IT'S OPPOSITE LAH! THINK I DONT KNOW AH??
Me: Ok loh.. (but i'm not wrong, i've been there, it's behind peninsula plaza)
And so we reached..
Me: See, that's peninsula ma, so it's behind..
Driver: Wat BEHIND!! IT'S OPPOSITE LAH! STILL WANT TO DEFEND YOURSELF!!
(She was actually refering to Peninsula Shopping Centre, while I was saying Peninsula Plaza.. 2 different buildings.. but i gave up... AUNTIE WINS!!)
I took down her cab number.. almost tempted to write a complain letter to SMRT... but I guess I should just let her go.. cos she'll be good entertainment to many people on the road.

Hong Kong 18-21 April 2007
Ok, my job sends me to places like Hong Kong, KL & Bangkok from time to time. So i decided i should start posting pictures of my trips. So this blog shall also be my travelogue (I wish... if i'm hardworking enough to keep updating, or even be pro-active enough to start uploading my pictures to the com! :P)
Let's start off with one of the Hong Kong trips I went to with Ms Keng & Evil Jo Jo!
We were sitting in the middle part of the plane on our flight to Hong Kong. So Ms Keng, after seeing that the window seats near us were empty, went over to the empty seat, wanting to look at the view outside. And guess what? Ms Keng VS UV rays = Ms Keng had to cover her face with the blanket and try to peep at the view outside from time to time. She was hilarious!!
Check out our spread at dinner in this Jap Restaurant in Tsim Tsa Tsui! We were like pigs who haven't had any food for 5 months. The waitress even gave us the look like we wouldn't be able to afford it. Oh please, we are all Tai-Tais in the making, give us a break!
Gluttons at work. Check out the huge crab leg!! There's an embarrasing story to tell about this dinner. We have sukiyaki as one of the set and as the soup was almost about to hit the pan, we wanted to refill the pot with more soup. We didn't want to talk to the waitress and I saw a teapot that the waitress left on the table a while ago. So clever me suggested to the other 2 that it could be the soup base and we proceeded to add it into the steaming sukiyaki.
Tada!! It was actually...........green tea :P *shhh*
Lobster Teppanyaki that we had in Mongkok. *Drools*
Our bus ride back to hotel after a day of hard work, tedious shopping and shiok eating...
Life is good.....especially when good food is on the expense of our usually stingy bosses.
Let's start off with one of the Hong Kong trips I went to with Ms Keng & Evil Jo Jo!
We were sitting in the middle part of the plane on our flight to Hong Kong. my lovely and super short weekend
met farmz last friday for dinner. it's amazing how 6 of us can stay so close even after years of graduation.. and our boyfriends are mostly quite familiar with each other as well, especially mr mountain dog n my mr chicken chee (he's normally porky, but in farmz terms, let's call him mr chicken chee) :P.. these 2 people are damn entertaining!
when we were in poly, our topics of interests would be school work, gossiping about people in school, ogling at guys and etc.. gradually the topic became about work, travelling and shopping after we graduated.. now we are all talking about getting married! my buddies in farmz are getting married turn by turn.. monkey pang is looking out for the hotels for her customary, mountain dog is so engrossed with her preparation for her ROM...xing fu de nu renS!! :)
goat chan is leaving us for australia this december.. will be sad to see her migrate to somewhere so far. :( she's my 38 partner in crime back in poly days.. now she got blissfully married last year and she's migrating to australia!! life's not gonna be easy during the first few months definitely.. i do hope everything goes well for her and mr goat!
slacked thru saturday as usual (i'mma slacker!!!) and went to the zoo with mr porky and his family on sunday..
the zoo has changed drastically since i last went there a few years ago.. it's even more of an "open" concept now, with monkeys swinging around right above u. be careful not to stand underneath them.. i saw one of them pee from up above. =.=
it was a fun but tiring day. ended the zoo with a ben n jerry's chunky monkey ice cream cone. how sweet! :)

Time to remove some spider webs!
ok, it's been loooooooooooooooong since i last updated :P
some updates:
work's fine so far as marketing, except for the occasional PMSes from the bosses which still makes me boil when it happens.
have gotten tokidoki crazy recently, infected from company's woman 5.0. bought 3 tokidoki lesportsac bags from evilBay, tobi.com & lesportsac outlet. super pretty la!! will post pictures of them when i get a chance to take pictures :P it's really a lot cheaper to get them in US as compared to the prices locally.. anyway.. i've told myself that 3 is the max, unless i cant withstand temptations next time, but we'll come to that part in a few months time :X
also gotten myself a new toy - Nintendo DS lite in pink!
this baby is keeping my free times fun! train rides home are so bearable now with this time waster~ Ah jie *tempting u* now :P
applied for 3 days leave in October, going to Bangkok for a short holiday with Mr Porky. :) we both miss the shopping and most importantly, Coco walk's buffet which is heavenly good and cheap! also looking forward to Platinum Mall's mango glutinous rice which is oh-so-good.
Can't wait!!

Marketing
someone said i've deserted this place :P
nooooooo, of cos i haven't~~ just being lazy to update.. hehehe
so my last post was about seeking greener pastures.. well, I have indeed switched to another job, but i'm still in the same company :(
to cut the long story short short short:
i tendered my resignation, boss offered me marketing job, i considered the offer, and took it up.
all of my frens were shocked with my decision, because many of them have heard of my endless ramblings in the past.
it was a tough decision to make.... i was seriously sick of the co and the bosses already, but yet this marketing position offers me a stepping stone to the marketing career that i want to embark on. i don't have prior experiences with marketing except for my certs and i'll require a higher pay as compared to fresh grads cos of my 1 yr working experience. Plus, another reason for wanting to quit was because i didn't like the past job scopes..a bit wasting my degree la...
so i had an offer straight in front of me, no need interviews, slight pay increment, good colleagues, 50% bearable bosses, and a chance to jump straight into marketing.
here i am, 1 week plus into the job. still a bit blur here n there and everywhere but i believe i'll enjoy this better then the previous one.
*crosses fingers* wish me luck!!!

Sick
ooh it's been a month since i last blogged huh
no no no, i've not given up on this place so fast. it's too beautiful to be deserted :P
some updates:
- finished running one conf3rence last week both in Singapore and Hong Kong
- worked OT almost every night before the conf3rence
- fell sick the weekend before the conf3rence, visited cok doc (more stories on him later on), finished medication but still sick
- fell very sick during the conf3rence
- didn't enjoy my hong kong trip
- got shot by boss while in hong kong thru email (happens every other day)
- came back and had 2 days MC
- back to work today
seriously... i'm very sick of working in this company already.
let's name the co "P/C" for short now. P/C has these 2 very short sighted bosses namely Mr PMS and Mrs Ju-On. They are husband and wife. Mr PMS and Mrs Ju-On have gotten on my nerves so many times that i have contemplated throwing my heels at their faces and leaving the company on the spot. i have also imagined, for a thousand times, to flip their tables and break their laptops whenever they pissed me off. and as usual, i have cursed them to "lao-sai" for 15 years many many many times already.
Some examples of how they really made my blood boil.
- Mrs Ju-On can scold me for half an hour over a HUGE AMOUNT of S$20 which was incurred due to a speaker's fault.
- She has also scolded me for one hour due to a mistake in spelling, where I spelt "PR's" as "PR'S"!! (see the mistake? Aprostophe S should be in small letters....)
- Mr PMS would type long long emails "shouting" out our faults whenever he is stressed by his Mrs Ju-On (I say "shout" because he would end his sentences with "!!!")
- He would also send emails of only 1 sentence to ask you to do stupid things when he can obviously see that we are busy like hell
last week, as we had to fly to hong kong, we were commanded to pack our things into a cabin bag so that we can hand carry the luggages on flight, instead of checking in our stuffs... all these to prevent excess baggage. my colleagues had to fly to another country after hong kong and they had to squeeze all their belongings into a small cabin bag, just for the sake of minimising excess baggage. we came up with alternative plans and suggested to Mr PMS and was shot to death by a nasty email which rejected the suggestion. in the end? no charges were incurred as we broke our bones, stretched our muscles and torn our tissues with the handheld luggages for all that's not worth - bosses that we hate.
if there's one thing i love about P/C, that would be my lovely colleagues. times at the office would have been terrible and intolerable if not for these fun people. there are no office politics - only us as a whole, against Mr PMS and Mrs Ju-On.
as much as i love my wonderful colleagues, i'm seriously sick of this job and this company with it's terrible management.
seeking greener pastures?

The Phantom and the Ghostbuster
I went to watch Phantom of The Opera at The Esplanade yesterday! Thanks to Shell, we had fantastic seats and quite a good view of the great musical. I've been wanting to watch this musical since I was in Secondary school.. but i was too broke to watch it last time and after waiting for 10+ years, it's finally back in Singapore!
The backdrops and effects were amazing.. Casts were perfect. I can now truly understand the magic that makes Phantom of the Opera tick. Oooh ya.. I've never clapped so long in my life before.. *sayang hands*
After the musical, I took a cab home from City Hall and I met the weirdest cab driver ever.
He started off by asking if I went shopping.. I said no, I went to watch Phantom of the Opera blah blah blah...
(Here are some snippets of our conversation. Those in (brackets) were my thoughts at that moment)
Driver: So have you seen the REAL phantom before?
Me: You mean..ghosts? Nope..
Driver: So is your inner spirit strong enough for it?
Me: (o.O) What do you mean? Like scared?
Driver: Ya!
Me: I think so! Definitely!
Driver: That means your inner spirit is not strong enough....
Me: (..........) Er....... so have you seen it yourself?
Driver: Of course! I've seen lots and lots.... Have you heard of Ghostbusters?
Me: In Singapore? Nope!
Driver: Well.. I'm one..
Me: Oh...... (Right....)
Driver: I've seen lady ghost, seaghost, Japan ghosts, black genie, ghosts with only head and intestines, no body....
Me: Oh.. so do some of them actually look like real man and woman?
Driver: The lady ghosts look like normal human.. but they cover their face with the hair.. only the LUCKY ones can see their red eyes.. *Laughs hysterically* In fact, I've driven lady ghosts before, one sat behind my driver seat that time.
Me: Erm... that's where I'm seating!! ($%#$%@%)
Driver: I've even had passenger died inside my cab before! He waited for 4 hours and came up into my cab then said "Bye Bye" and died.
Me: Oh my gosh, let me down now! Haha... (Someone save me please.... >_<)
Driver: Long long time ago, in another cab.. I had a passenger who dress like ancient martial arts master. He sat beside me and began to tell my fortune.. About 95% was correct! Then he asked me for my car number to help me with 4D.. but I rejected him lah, cos I don't want to win this type of money. Next day my car number really 1st prize! And you know where I dropped him? LIM CHU KANG! *Laughs hysterically again*.. and "poof" he disappeared in front of my eyes!
Me: (urgh...................)
Me: So you drive in the day time and catch ghosts at night?
Driver: No, I drive 24 hours! I seldom sleep lah, only go to the mosque to sleep 1-2 hours sometimes.. I don't sleep at home, cos I need extra protection.
Me: Oh... (Am I gonna get into an accident cos of his lack of sleep?)
Driver: Once I got into a curse! Someone from KL sent a curse, my right eye was blinded while I was driving.. Totally cannot see!
Me: Oh no, then how?
Driver: I drove the passenger home and went to the mosque to pray.. after 8 hours battle then my eyes ok.
Me: (1stly got ghosts in his cab before, then people died before, and he doesn't have enough sleep, and he might get cursed anytime? How safe is this ride?)
Driver: There are more black magic in Malaysia than Singapore. And they can send the curses all the way from KL, you know! Have you seen flying eggs?
Me: Flying eggs? No!
Driver: Nowadays Singapore no more...but Malaysia a lot.. Once they sent flying eggs to Singapore, with needle inside. This is very dangerous ah...we battled it for very long... because, if got 3rd party very strong also, he can intercept the egg and make it change direction!
Me: Oh............ That's very dangerous.. (speechless)
Driver: Next time when you see black snakes in your house, like cobra or python, don't catch it first! You ask it to leave..by saying "if you are evil, leave.. if you are a snake, don't leave"
Me: Erm... English or Mandarin it can understand?
Driver: The spirit knows what you want to tell it, so it's ok one.. you try 3 times to ask it to leave.. if 3 times it never leave, means it's just normal snake....
Me: ( =_=|||||)
I suspect he was really having fun with my reactions.. and mind, these are not all that he said. He added stories of his family being in curse before, his nephew being cursed in Malaysia and his numerous battles with the evil.
Phew... I'm only glad that I reached my destination safe and sound.

Tissue Lady...?
Some people have been asking me, why name your blog "Tissue Lady"?
Once upon a time............
There was a young girl with sweaty palms.. The little girl would always carry a lot of tissue with her everyday when she was studying in her primary school.
Slowly, everyone in her class started calling her "Tissue Lady". Even her primary school teacher approached her for tissue!
And..the little girl grew up with her sweaty palms still sweaty and still carrying a lot of tissue with her wherever she goes.
.................and she lived happily ever after.

Up & Away!
The Sweet Beginning
Have been reading up a few blogs recently during my free time and got envious of people who own pretty blogs filled with photos and thoughts of their daily life.
So here I am, with my 567815263th attempt to set up a blog of my own. Alright, I'm taking in bets to see how long this blog will last.... :P
I will dress this place up when I have more time! :)
